Ở Việt Nam, bài cào ba lá là bộ môn yêu thích của rất nhiều người, đặc biệt ở khu vực miền Nam. Trong khi đó, ngoài Bắc anh em lại chơi bài cào liêng nhiều hơn.

Bài cào còn được biết đến với cái tên gọi là bài Tây khi được đưa vào các sòng bài, casino trực tuyến. Loại trò chơi này hoạt động theo quy tắc so sánh và đối chiếu điểm của người chơi này với người kia trong một ván bài. Hoặc cũng có thể là giữa người chơi với nhà cái.

Trong một vấn đấu số lượng người tham gia từ 2 đến 6 người chưa tính nhà cái. Tuy nhiên, quy tắc này không có sự đảm bảo và chắc chắn. Bởi trong bài cào ba lá số người chơi có thể nhiều hơn con số 6 vì chỉ cần có đủ lá bài để chia cho các thành viên là được.

  • Trước khi nhà cái đóng “cửa phòng” tất cả người chơi phải đưa ra mức đặt cược và chỗ đặt tiền cược sẽ được cho vào “tẩy”.
  • Sau khi xong “thủ tục” người chơi sẽ được chia 3 quân bài theo quy định (nhà cái sẽ là người chia nếu ván đấu có sự góp mặt của họ).
  • Nhận bài xong tất cả người chơi sẽ phải lật các quân bài đã được chi và bắt đầu so sánh điểm để tìm ra người thắng cuộc.

Sau khi xong “thủ tục” người chơi sẽ được chia 3 quân bài theo quy định. Trong bài cào trực tuyến không có quy chuẩn nào trong việc chia bài, nếu ván đấu có sự góp mặt của nhà cái họ sẽ là người chia bài cho các người chơi.

Một số luật riêng trong bài cào

Mỗi trò chơi sẽ có cách chơi và luật chơi riêng và bài cào cũng vậy. Nếu trong một ván bài, người chơi không lật bài ngay. Tức là họ sẽ có một vài lựa chọn như sau:

  • Chọn tố: Người chơi sẽ chọn tố nếu cảm thấy nước bài trong tay mình có khả năng thắng tất cả các đối thủ trong ván bài đó. Với hành động này bạn phải bỏ thêm tiền vào “tẩy”, nếu thắng bạn sẽ gián phần thưởng khủng.
  • Chọn theo: Đây nghĩa là sẽ bổ sung thêm tiền cược vào “tẩy” tương tự như người đang tố. Tức là người tố thêm bao nhiêu tiền cược thì bạn cũng phải bỏ số tiền tương ứng như người “lựa chọn theo”.
  • Chọn úp bài: Sau khi được chia bài, nếu cảm thấy quân của mình quá thấp người chơi sẽ lựa chọn việc úp bài. Nghĩa là bạn không theo người tố và không mất thêm khoản tiền nào. Nếu thua số tiền đặt cược ban đầu sẽ mất trắng, đó là quy luật.\
